Toronto’s Pinnacle SkyTower has become the first building in Canada to surpass 100 storeys, marking a major milestone for both the city and the nation. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects for developer Pinnacle International, the residential supertall is set to reach approximately 351.85 metres, cementing its place as Canada’s tallest skyscraper.

Described as a “12-sided jewel,” the tower features a glazed, tapered form with chamfered corners and a subtly sloping façade. Balconies on one side create a vent-like rhythm, while the geometric design helps reflect light differently depending on the viewer’s angle. The form also supports wind resistance against strong Lake Ontario gusts.

Located in Toronto’s rapidly transforming Harbourfront district, SkyTower acts as a sculptural landmark at the start of a major arterial road. Its upper-level amenities sit around the same elevation as the CN Tower’s observation deck, symbolically aligning two defining skyline icons.

Part of the larger Pinnacle One development, the tower will house residences, a hotel, and amenities including a restaurant on the 106th floor. SkyTower is expected to top out and welcome residents in 2026, reflecting Toronto’s accelerating rise in urban scale and architectural ambition.
